As an experienced employment attorney, Nicole understands that the failure to conduct a fair, reasonable, and comprehensive investigation can lead to widespread workplace issues and severe legal problems for a company. Her focus is to conduct investigations that guide appropriate employment decisions and protect all parties involved.
Nicole draws on her legal knowledge and experience to navigate complicated investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and hostile work environment issues. She is skilled at determining the scope of the investigation and creating a neutral and safe environment for employees to feel comfortable discussing sensitive events. Nicole’s ability to convey to individuals that they are being heard and that their concerns are being taken seriously ensures the necessary discovery of information that is crucial for the thoroughness of the investigation.
Nicole spent her career providing employment counsel to clients to help them assess and diminish risk to avoid litigation. She has experience working with and providing investigations for a broad range of clients, from small companies and Fortune 500 corporations to start-ups and nonprofits. Nicole has represented employers in state and federal court and state agencies, as well as in mediation and arbitration.
Nicole is a member of the California Bar, Marin County Bar, Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI-CH), and Society for Human Resources Management. She obtained her J.D. from UC Law SF (fka UC Hastings College of the Law) and completed her undergraduate education at Santa Clara University.
